Custom Products

A major part of Micro-Robotics' business is in the design and manufacture of embedded controller boards to an individual customer's specification.

We can either make a custom application board into which you can plug a standard controller, or for higher production volumes or more specialist requirements the controller components may be incorporated into the main board.

Software

In addition to the Venom Language and operating system we supply with our controllers, we can write applications for you in the Venom language, or we can supply entirely custom software coded in C.

Product development can be roughly divided into four volume levels. Our products and services give you the flexibility to move to the level that suits your project size.

Starter Kit (Typical Volume: 1)

Using our starter kits, check out the capabilities of the VM2 controller. The starter kits provide all that you need to start modelling your application. You may even be able to lash up a fully operational prototype using the parts we supply in the kit.

Standard Product (Typical Volume: 1 - 100)

Plug together a working application using our off-the-shelf VM2 controller, application boards, and I/O card range. Our standard Application Boards have a range of common I/O interfaces built in, and the I/O cards can cater for expansion.

Custom Application Board (Typical Volume: 10 - 1,000)

Develop a refined product using a standard VM2 controller plugged into a custom-designed application board. The custom application board carries all your I/O requirements.

Fully Custom Design (Typical Volume: 100 - 10,000+)

Go into high volume production with a completely custom-designed board - the controller is no longer separate from the I/O interfaces. Software may be written in Venom or in C.
